Parteien England:


In Großbritannien und Nordirland gibt es seit ungefähr 150 Jahren de facto ein Zweiparteiensystem. 

Seit dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs wechseln sich die Konservative Partei (Conservative and Unionist Party) und die Labour Party in der Regierung ab. 

Daneben gibt es die Liberaldemokratische Partei (Liberal Democrats) und weitere, vor allem regionale Parteien: Party of Wales; Scottish National Party; Democratic Unionist Party (Nordirland); Sinn Fein (Nordirland); Social Democratic and Labor Party or SDLP (Nordirland); Ulster Unionist Party (Nordirland).

Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom. The capital is Belfast. The main religion is christianity (protestantism and catholicism). The official language is English. There is a big controverse between the protestant, British, majority and the catholic, Irish, minority. When Ireland seceded from the United Kingdom in 1921 Northern Ireland remained British. The country is a parliamentary democratic entity, currently under administration of the British government.
